                                           Happy New Year, everyone !      Wishing you peace & simple pleasures.....


        I can't believe May is almost done .... Last month was so much fun, with stops in San Francisco, Laguna Beach & Santa Ynez wine country ...... I just booked a couple of great gigs in Malibu & Ojai, which I'm really looking forward to.... I'm preparing songs for a busy week of 7 gigs...  I'm playing for the 2nd graders at Welby Way Elementary School on Wednesday, followed by 2 "Happy Hour" gigs in Simi Valley on Thursday & Friday, possibly a Friday morning gig in Long Beach, followed by a private event at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito on Saturday, and a winery event near Santa Ynez on Sunday. On Memorial Day Monday, I'm playing a private event in Pasadena... Gearing up for a very busy schedule this Summer, mostly close to home, from Santa Barbara to Malibu Canyon & Woodland Hills....  Later this year, I'll be writing & recording all the music for a new feature film, so I'm reading the script now .... I love my job.

     I'm a vocalist & guitarist, based in Southern California  - I'm proud to be an official Taylor Guitars artist & to play Taylor guitars at every performance & recording session. I've been fortunate to play with members of some of the biggest bands in the world, played hundreds of gigs at the very best venues, toured several countries, had many great musical adventures. I play acoustic & electric guitars & ukulele. I've written music for Sony & AudioSource, documentary & independent films, TV commercials, even a series of films produced for the California school systems, based on John Steinbeck's short stories.

      I was born in Akron, Ohio, although I've lived in California for most of my life. I married the beautiful girl next door, and we're the proud parents of a fine son, who's much smarter and better looking than his old man.... I'm thankful for my loving family and my circle of good friends. I'm also thankful to be making music. It gives us joy & heals our pain ...

     2013 is booking up quickly. I have dozens of private & corporate events scheduled in Malibu, Laguna Beach, Santa Barbara, Las Vegas, Hanalei Bay in Kauai, San Francisco, Park City Utah, Tucson Arizona & Wineries up & down the California coast, so it looks like I'll be a busy troubadour this year... It's a shame, at this point, I'm having to turn down at least half of the gigs I'm offered because I'm already booked.

     Music is an important element for any event, and it's not an easy decision to make - When it's right, you'll know it.  When you've decided to have me to play for your event, please complete the booking process ASAP. My schedule changes daily & I'm receiving multiple inquiries for weekend dates thru October 2013. My "upcoming gigs" page only shows the confirmed bookings.

     In 2011 & 2012, I played nearly 300 solo events for audiences ranging from 2 people to over 1000 people, playing acoustic versions of the finest songs from the last 40 years, from The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Maroon 5 & Dave Matthews to The Beatles, Van Morrison, James Taylor & The Eagles to The Police, Tom Petty, U2, & Bruce Springsteen. I'm learning current songs every day. My 500+ songlist also includes hundreds of contemporary Country songs from The Zac Brown Band, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley,  Rascal Flatts & many others.

     I've met the most wonderful people, & helped my clients to celebrate every conceivable occasion, from an intimate private wedding or Birthday party to a corporate event for 1000 guests. Depending on the musical preferences of my clients, I can cover a lot of diverse musical territory. If the event has a wide mix of age groups, I'll play music from the 1960's to 2013. Sometimes the evening is all brand new songs, sometimes it's 70's & 80's music, depending on the event's purpose & who's attending... I encourage my clients to "cherry-pick" my song list, and suggest new songs for me to learn.

     Although I'm based near Los Angeles, my work often involves travel - Planes, trains & automobiles are no problem for me. I try to keep my travel costs as reasonable as possible. Let's discuss your event, I'm sure we can work together.

     2012 had so many highlights, from Hanalei Bay in Kauai to Vancouver, The Del Coronado in San Diego to Vineyards in Sonoma Valley, Las Vegas to Montecito, Laguna Beach to Malibu, each event is different & requires a specific musical mix...
